Sara Megan Downing, West Point Cadet

Sara Megan Downing, 2010 graduate of South Caldwell High School spoke to the club on March 12, 2012 about undergraduate life at West Point. Graduating third in her class, Sara accepted an appointment to the United Sates Military Academy at West Point. She will pursue a degree in Economics, with a minor in Statistics, as a cadet of the class of 2014. The United Sates Military Academy at West Point consistently ranks as one of the top public liberal arts colleges in the United States. Its mission remains constant—to educate, train, and inspire the Corps of Cadets, so that each graduate is a commissioned leader of character, committed to the values of Duty, Honor, Country and prepared for a career of professional excellence and service to the Nation as an officer in the United States Army.
