The Thursday Rotary Club of Hickory has announced dates for its musical fundraiser, “ROTARIAN IDOL”. The event will be held Saturday, March 24, at 7:00 pm in PE Monroe Auditorium on the campus of Lenoir-Rhyne University.
Thursday Rotary Club of Hickory is grateful for the tremendous financial support provided by area businesses for our 2018 fundraiser. Event sponsors include Lenoir Rhyne University (Title Sponsor), Catawba Valley Medical Center, Exodus, Mike Johnson’s Hickory Toyota, Catawba Valley Community College, Adventive Graphics and Café Rule.
With the tremendous outpouring of support by local artists performing in the event, by area residents attending the event and event sponsorships and ad sales promoting local businesses, The Thursday Rotary Club of Hickory has raised more than $500,000 through Rotarian Idol competitions in the last eight years, and the bulk of the proceeds have remained in the community, supporting vital educational programs such as Imagination Library, student scholarships and annual Teacher of the Year recognition.
